Trying it again

I decided to complete Make a Video from the Assignment Bank. It is worth five stars and the instructions are to record yourself reading out loud and set it to a related video (favorite episode clips or movie clips, animate something, the choice is yours!) I included video clips from a song, a movie, and pictures to tell my story.

The poem used was “Alone” by Edgar Allan Poe. I recorded it on my phone then uploaded it to video editor on my windows laptop to edit the video. In the beginning of the video, I used clips from the song “Lonely” by Justin Bieber. Then I follow up with a few pictures and another clip from the movie Fast 7. I added the title, background music, and ending media sources all from video editor.

Edgar Allan Poe wrote very interesting poems and “Alone” is one of my favorites. I wanted my video to reflect the poem as much as possible. For that reason, I used clips particularly from Justin Bieber’s song. I added the photos to reflect the words of the poem as well. I tried to time the video as I was reading the poem as well so it could capture the story. I moved the scenes around until I thought it reflected the poem well. I had a lot of fun doing this one.

  1. I really liked how this all came together, I would have never thought to do a video poem. I could really capture the emotion and feel what was happening during the video.
